📋 Description

• Oversee Financial Functions and Daily Accounting Operations: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks to ensure precise and timely financial transactions and records.

• Collaborate with the Portfolio Finance Team: Partner closely with the Financial Controller to recruit, train, and develop the accounting team, upholding high standards in financial management.

• Prepare and Present Financial Statements: Create monthly financial reports, analyze data, and provide ad hoc financial insights to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Prepare and Analyze Financial Statements: Generate key financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to guarantee accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain and Reconcile General Ledger Accounts: Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of the ledger.

• Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable Processes: Supervise the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and precise payments and collections.

• Develop Budgets and Forecasts: Collaborate with the group’s Managing Director to create and maintain financial budgets and forecasts, providing insights while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

• Monitor Free Cash Flow: Oversee cash flow management to maintain liquidity, optimize the cash cycle, and enhance free cash flow.

• Improve Financial Processes: Work with the Financial Controller – Portfolio to assess, identify gaps and opportunities for automation, make recommendations, and assist in implementing enhancements to financial systems and processes.

• Support Operational Improvements: Team up with Managing Directors to evaluate and implement operational enhancements.

• Ensure Tax Compliance: Aid in tax optimization reviews; manage tax filing processes, handle audits, and ensure compliance with all pertinent accounting and tax regulations.

• Maintain Financial Controls: Establish and uphold internal financial controls that secure our growth.

• Financial Integration: Support financial integration activities, including ERP system implementation, account mapping, and the rollout of reporting requirements and governance standards.

• Monitor Integration Success: Implement the monthly reporting schedule, reviewing deliverables for data integrity, quality, and accuracy.

• Identify discrepancies between acquired company accounting policies and Valsoft corporate policies, collaborating with the Finance Controller – Portfolio to remediate discrepancies and implement future reporting processes.

• Post-Acquisition Support: Aid in forecasting the first-year bottoms-up forecast in conjunction with the acquired business.

• Acquisition Accounting: Assist in preparing purchase price allocations and ensure the completeness and accuracy of opening balance sheet accounting.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with at least one ERP integration managed.

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards, along with advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Fluency in German is considered an asset.
