This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assume comprehensive ownership of a portfolio of eCommerce clients.
• Oversee month-end closing and finalize client accounts within two to ten business days post-month end.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis and investigate as well as clarify P&L variances and irregular balances.
• Maintain working documentation for fixed assets, loans, prepaids, accruals, and other balance sheet items.
• Record accruals, manual journal entries, credit memos, and year-end inventory adjustments.
• Execute weekly bookkeeping and manage charts of accounts.
• Administer multi-currency accounting, foreign exchange revaluations, and cross-currency reconciliations.
• Reconcile Shopify, Amazon, and other eCommerce integrations with the general ledger.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Maintain consolidated budgets and templates for actuals versus budget reporting.
• Act as the main day-to-day accounting liaison for a designated portfolio of 3–5 eCommerce clients.
• Address client inquiries, participate in client discussions, and prepare summary notes and action items.
• Communicate outstanding issues, open questions, and risks to team leaders and clients.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports, working documents, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure clients are up to date with sales tax, payroll, and corporate filings.
• Research tax obligations and escalate findings as necessary.
• Prepare audit-ready working papers, weekly flash reports, and monthly financial packages.
• Review the work of junior staff, provide constructive feedback, answer queries, and share best practices.
• Engage in team L10 meetings and contribute to initiatives aimed at process improvement.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting, with at least 1 year in a Senior or equivalent role.
• Strong expertise in Xero; experience with QuickBooks Online is an advantage.
• Proven eCommerce accounting experience, including familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller/Vendor, and multi-currency settings.
• Solid grasp of accrual-basis accounting, covering prepaids, accruals, deferred revenue, and FX revaluation.
• Capability to investigate and elucidate financial discrepancies using independent judgment and structured reasoning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable corresponding directly with clients.
• Self-driven and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines concurrently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing processes and occasional ambiguity.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Availability to work from 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM PST, Monday to Friday.
• CPA or CA qualification from the Philippines, US, Canada, or UK.
• Experience with Hubdoc, Dext, or Rippling.
• Previous experience in public practice or audit.
• Willingness to submit a 2–3 minute screening video addressing specified questions.
