
Senior Account Executive – Oil & Gas Markets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Create and implement sales strategies for specific territories to promote revenue growth in the refinery, petrochemical, terminal, energy, and industrial sectors.
• Acquire new business through direct outreach, networking, customer engagements, industry events, product demonstrations, and partnerships with distributors.
• Establish and nurture relationships with EHS leaders, fire protection managers, operations executives, engineering teams, industrial fire brigades, procurement stakeholders, distributors, and channel partners.
• Provide guidance to customers on the performance of fluorine-free foam, PFAS transition planning, and strategies for implementation.
• Assist in product evaluations, qualification processes, site inspections, testing activities, and planning for implementation.
• Support customers in assessing fluorine-free foam solutions while meeting operational, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Work in collaboration with Product Development, Operations, Marketing, and Leadership teams to gather customer feedback, analyze market trends, and gather competitive intelligence.
• Represent Vorbeck at conferences, trade shows, demonstrations, customer training sessions, and technical meetings.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of customer, opportunity, forecast, and account data in CRM systems.
• Formulate territory plans and deliver consistent sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to leadership.
• Undertake additional duties and assist with special projects as required.
• Travel is expected to be around 30–50%.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or a related position.
• Proven experience selling to clients in oil & gas, petrochemicals, industrial chemicals, refining, energy, industrial safety, or similar sectors.
• Successful track record in developing new business opportunities and managing comprehensive sales cycles.
• Experience handling prolonged sales cycles involving numerous stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Ability to leverage industry knowledge and professional networks for market expansion, customer acquisition, and strategic growth.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Proficient in conveying technical product information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capability to understand and articulate technical, operational, and regulatory aspects of industrial fire protection and transitions to fluorine-free foam.
• Strong skills in business development, territory management, and pipeline oversight.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities, drive revenue growth, and meet sales targets.
• Must be a United States citizen for government contract work.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, Fire Science, Emergency Management, or a related discipline is preferred; an equivalent combination of education, industry experience, and demonstrated sales success will be considered.
• Preferred experience with technical product evaluations, demonstrations, implementation activities, or customer testing programs.
• Familiarity with PFAS transition initiatives, environmental compliance programs, fire protection systems, or related industrial safety programs is a plus.
