Security Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR), email security, and network security solutions.

• Develop, fine-tune, and enhance detection rules, alert policies, and automated response playbooks utilizing Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and associated security platforms.

• Assist in integrating acquired entities into New Era's standardized security framework.

• Oversee security alerts and dashboards, investigate incidents, and escalate security issues as necessary.

• Support incident response efforts, including containment, remediation, and recovery procedures.

• Conduct health assessments to verify that security tools, agents, and alerting systems are operating effectively.

• Manage identity security measures, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and Privileged Access Management (PAM).

• Aid in vulnerability management tasks, including scanning, tracking remediation activities, and generating security reports.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and governance teams to implement security best practices.

• Contribute to compliance initiatives, audits, security evaluations, and evidence gathering for frameworks like ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

• Keep security documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks up to date.

• Investigate emerging security threats and propose proactive mitigation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Security Engineering, Security Operations, or IT Security.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and EDR/XDR platforms.

• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable or Qualys.

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid environments.

• Understanding of MFA, Conditional Access, and identity security.

• Basic skills in PowerShell, KQL, or automation scripting.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration.

• Microsoft Security certifications (SC-200, SC-300, SC-100) are advantageous.

• CompTIA Security+ or CySA+ certification.

• Previous experience with Managed Service Providers (MSP) is preferred.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar.
