This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Security Solutions Architect (SSA) serves as a trusted advisor and technical expert within Avertium’s sales team, collaborating with Account Executives, partners, and customers during the pre-sales phase.
• The SSA converts customer security and compliance challenges into precisely defined Avertium solutions.
• SSAs create phased security roadmaps, develop tailored Statements of Work (SOWs) and detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), facilitate Microsoft envisioning workshops, deliver presentations to both technical and executive audiences, and cultivate partner relationships that enhance Avertium’s channel-driven pipeline.
• The SSA functions as the technical driving force behind one or more AE pipelines and acts as a catalyst for revenue expansion across Microsoft’s security, compliance, security operations, and AI-enablement portfolios.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in information security, IT security, or IT administration, including roles that involve customer interaction or pre-sales technical responsibilities.
• Proven ability to define and document security engagements, including SOWs, WBS detailing hours, and technical proposals.
• Hands-on experience with the Microsoft security stack (Entra/IAM and at least one of Purview or Intune).
• Familiarity with at least one major compliance framework (CMMC/NIST 800-171, NIST CSF, or ISO 27001) and the capacity to convert framework requirements into a remediation roadmap.
• Comprehension of enterprise security concepts and technologies, including MDR/EDR, email security, and the functioning of a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Knowledge of best practices in data governance and data protection.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to present to and influence C-suite stakeholders.
• Competence in CRM-based opportunity management (Salesforce) and consistent documentation practices.
• Ability to build and maintain positive, effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Purview (DLP, Insider Risk, Data Classification, DSPM for AI) and/or Intune and Entra ID.
• Expert understanding of Zero Trust principles, along with strong knowledge of email security and networking.
• Remote-first work environment with regional alignment to the designated territory and partner ecosystem.
• This role requires up to 25% travel; travel is often outside the local area and may necessitate overnight stays.
