Security Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess and assist in modifications to our Threat Analysis environment.

• Identify requirements and develop internal tools as necessary.

• Collaborate with a team investigating both new and historical threats, including malware, exploit kits, and vulnerabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in network traffic analysis tools, such as Wireshark, tcpdump, Moloch, etc.

• Knowledgeable in virtualization technologies, including VMware products, VirtualBox, KVM, etc.

• Skilled in one or more scripting languages, with a preference for Lua and Python.

• Familiarity with regular expressions/PCRE.

• Demonstrates creativity, enthusiasm for the network threat landscape, and a readiness to collaborate with others.

• Ability to operate under broad strategic guidance.

• Experience in developing web applications (React preferred).

• Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.

• Proficient with databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or MongoDB).

• Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
