Manager, Security GRC – Compliance Onboarding, Readiness

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as an Active Player-Coach while guiding the Team

• Direct Management of Personnel: Lead, cultivate, and mentor a skilled sub-team of GRC professionals.

• Hands-on Execution (Individual Contributor Role): Actively set an example through your own work.

• Stabilization & Backlog Management: Assist and support the team through its initial phases of operational maturity.

• Implement the Compliance "Front Door"

• Shift Compliance Left: Oversee and enhance our centralized compliance onboarding intake procedure.

• Reduce Friction: Ensure predictable, seamless compliance pathways for engineering stakeholders.

• Propel High-Risk Control Testing & Continuous Assurance

• Conduct In-Depth Testing: Personally direct and manage thorough internal testing of HubSpot’s highest-risk controls.

• Continuous Monitoring Analytics: Collaborate to design and develop automated dashboards.

• Promote Collaborative Partnerships & Smooth Transitions: Lead proactive evaluations to confirm control design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Security GRC, IT Compliance, or IT Audit, preferably within a dynamic, public SaaS setting.

• Hands-On Player-Coach Leadership: Background in managing, mentoring, or guiding GRC professionals, along with a strong motivation and demonstrated capability to perform as an individual contributor.

• In-Depth Control Knowledge: Solid grasp of SOX 404 control design, risk-based scoping, testing, and proactive issue management within contemporary engineering environments (AWS, microservices, CI/CD pipelines).

• First-Principles Architect Perspective: You view compliance as a systems-engineering challenge rather than merely a checklist.

• Outstanding Communication & Alignment with HubSpot Culture: You exhibit empathy, clarity, and directness in your interactions.
