Security Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage Security Operations (SecOps) initiatives across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and endpoints.

• Create and sustain processes for security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and governance in security.

• Act as the main escalation point for intricate security incidents and investigations.

• Guide the analysis of security events, triage, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.

• Develop operational metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of security measures.

• Propel continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity maturity of the enterprise.

• Collaborate on security initiatives with managed security service providers and strategic partners in security.

• Direct the strategy and implementation of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM).

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, NIST CSF, and best practices in healthcare cybersecurity.

• Supervise SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, email security, and threat intelligence systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity.

• More than 3 years of experience in leading security operations or engineering initiatives.

• Background in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, or other highly regulated sectors.

• Practical experience in implementing and managing enterprise SSO and IAM platforms.

• Robust experience with:

• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

• Single Sign-On (SAML, OIDC, OAuth)

• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

• SIEM platforms

• EDR/XDR technologies

• Vulnerability Management

• Security Incident Response

• Experience in supporting HIPAA compliance and conducting healthcare security assessments.
