Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as an Okta Subject Matter Expert (SME), offering insights on identity security, Zero Trust, governance, authentication, and authorization strategies.

• Facilitate discovery workshops, conduct identity assessments, perform architecture reviews, and lead solution design sessions.

• Create and present proof-of-concepts, demonstrations, and presentations tailored for both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Convert business, security, and compliance requirements into scalable identity solutions.

• Design and support implementations across Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Lifecycle Management, Identity Governance, Privileged Access, Auth0, and Identity Threat Protection.

• Produce architecture documentation, implementation guides, and customer-facing technical artifacts.

• Assist with pre-sales activities, provide technical responses, plan implementations, and drive service development initiatives.

• Contribute to standardized service offerings such as Identity Assessments, Identity Modernization programs, Governance Reviews, Identity Health Checks, and Zero Trust roadmaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management, cybersecurity consulting, security engineering, or solution architecture.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering Okta Workforce Identity and Customer Identity solutions within enterprise settings.

• In-depth knowledge of modern identity security practices, including SSO, MFA, Identity Governance, Privileged Access, and Zero Trust architectures.

• Experience in leading customer workshops, conducting architecture reviews, demonstrating solutions, and creating proof-of-concepts.

• Capability to engage and influence stakeholders across business, security, and technical teams.

• Experience in supporting technical sales engagements, designing solutions, planning implementations, and delivering services.

• Practical experience with identity migrations, modernization programs, and cloud-based identity platforms is highly valued.

• Previous experience with vendors, partners, or technology alliances is a plus.
