This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Accountable for the design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive security solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pinpoint security vulnerabilities.
• Address threats and ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Design, deploy, and sustain security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS, and SIEM platforms.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Examine security logs and alerts to identify and investigate incidents.
• Create and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Respond to incidents by determining root causes and executing remediation measures.
• Partner with IT and development teams to incorporate security best practices.
• Monitor and assess emerging security threats and propose enhancements.
• Demonstrated experience in network security, system security, or information security roles.
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols, architectures, and best practices.
• Practical experience with security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners).
• Expertise in analyzing and interpreting security logs and network traffic.
• Comprehensive understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network fundamentals.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and documentation skills.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
