Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain security technologies, including EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike, Zero Trust Network Access, and Data Loss Prevention systems.

• Integrate automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines, encompassing code analysis, dependency scanning, and secrets detection.

• Implement and support a Zero Trust security architecture utilizing Palo Alto Prisma, GlobalProtect, and Cloudflare ZTNA solutions.

• Manage cloud security posture controls across GCP environments, including the detection and remediation of misconfigurations.

• Collaborate with SOC analysts to enhance detection quality, minimize false positives, and improve incident investigation capabilities.

• Partner with development teams during design phases to identify security risks early and conduct security code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in security engineering, security operations, or security platform engineering.

• Deep understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and network segmentation.

• Practical experience in implementing EDR solutions like CrowdStrike and Zero Trust architectures.

• Familiarity with Palo Alto Prisma, GlobalProtect, and Cloudflare security solutions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls.

• Professional proficiency in English, along with strong analytical, investigative, and collaborative skills.
