This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Design and establish security architectures across cloud platforms, network systems, applications, and operational technology (OT) environments.
• Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling to pinpoint vulnerabilities and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Oversee identity and access control systems, directory services, and privileged access management.
• Execute security evaluations of IT and OT environments, which include vulnerability scanning, system hardening assessments, and segmentation analysis.
• Monitor security incidents, analyze anomalies, and respond to incidents through investigation, containment, and remediation efforts.
• Create and uphold security documentation, encompassing architecture diagrams, policies, standards, runbooks, and response procedures.
• Automate security workflows such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, vulnerability scans, and audit reporting.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, operations, and internal teams to embed security controls into systems, infrastructure, and software development lifecycles.
• Assess emerging threats, technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Assist with regulatory compliance initiatives and engage in both internal and external audits.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide security projects and initiatives by providing technical guidance and leadership.
• Mentor colleagues, share expertise, and advocate for secure-by-design principles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, information systems, or a related field is mandatory.
• Over 7 years of experience in an information security role, with practical knowledge in at least two of the following areas: enterprise architecture, OT security, or identity and access management.
• Advanced understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices in cybersecurity.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level security tools, including network defense mechanisms, cloud-native security solutions, and identity and access management platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of OT communication protocols and cybersecurity practices within industrial control environments.
• Proficient in scripting languages for automation and orchestration tasks.
• Exceptional analytical and investigative skills with proven problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong capacity to work autonomously, handle multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications are preferred (e.g., recognized security, cloud, or OT/IAM credentials).
