This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Reporting to the Senior Director of Information Security, the Security Engineer position at Level Access will contribute to the company's objective of becoming the leading secure entity in digital accessibility.
• Security alert triage: Conduct initial assessments of various security signals and incidents to evaluate severity and initiate responses to potential business-impacting events.
• Vulnerability management: Oversee and analyze vulnerability management tools and feeds; offer remediation advice to downstream teams; and maintain control over technical risks.
• Security awareness: Manage the security awareness program, encompassing course development, phishing simulations, reporting, and support for business teams and users.
• Audit support: Assist internal and external stakeholders as needed to collect information and evidence for security governance initiatives and compliance audits.
• AI and automation: Leverage AI and automation strategies to enhance compliance, streamline business operations, and boost efficiency.
• Business analysis: Undertake smaller projects aimed at risk mitigation, assisting the team, and supporting other company goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, along with one to three years of experience in information security; or equivalent work experience of 4–6 years.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Microsoft 365).
• Experience utilizing business AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Atlassian Rovo, or Anthropic Claude.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, vulnerability scanners, and security assessment tools.
• Exposure to the development of SaaS applications and/or contemporary software engineering practices.
• Experience working within a professional IT setting that supports a remote workforce primarily using SaaS-based business tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
