This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Coordinate the dispatch of emergency services for fires, medical emergencies, and other urgent and non-urgent situations.
• Send Security personnel to various safety and security-related incidents.
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and other agencies when required.
• Utilize a computer-aided dispatch system accurately and promptly to log information regarding emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Notify relevant parties using available dispatch resources, including but not limited to phone, radio, and pager systems, about both emergencies and non-emergencies as they arise.
• Monitor alarms from various facilities, drill sites, camps, and others, making timely notifications to responsible personnel.
• Operate as the phone operator for the Greater Prudhoe Bay Field.
• Handle phone calls from the public, various on-site agencies, and other related entities, addressing their routine requests and needs.
• Inform Security/Dispatch leadership about personnel matters that may necessitate administrative follow-up.
• Collaborate effectively with others in a shared indoor office setting.
• Work 12-hour shifts for 14 consecutive days or nights.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience is mandatory.
• Intermediate computer skills are essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract-specific software.
• Ability to cooperate and function as part of a team alongside fellow employees, customers, and clients is necessary.
• Must be capable of making decisions on the spot with minimal supervision.
• Compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations set by the company and client is essential.
• Must be able to effectively multitask, work in an environment requiring divided attention when needed, and maintain composure while managing both emergencies and non-emergency situations.
• The contract stipulates that employees must be able to speak, understand, read, and write in English.
• Employees must be able to reside in dormitory-style accommodations and meet cleanliness standards of the remote camp.
• Successful completion of all pre-employment contract requirements is mandatory, which may include drug testing, physical and fit-for-duty assessments, and hearing tests.
• Employees are responsible for any travel expenses and accommodations necessary for completing pre-employment tasks in Anchorage, AK.
