Security Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and analyze security alerts and incidents within enterprise environments.

• Engage in proactive threat hunting to uncover malicious activities and vulnerabilities.

• Assist with incident response initiatives, including evaluation, containment, investigation, and remediation.

• Utilize Splunk SIEM for log analysis, correlation, detection, and monitoring purposes.

• Work with EDR solutions such as Cisco AMP, CrowdStrike, Trend Micro, and Microsoft Defender.

• Contribute to vulnerability management efforts and exposure assessments.

• Collaborate with external patch management providers to ensure effective remediation.

• Investigate suspicious activities, malware outbreaks, phishing attempts, and endpoint threats.

• Record incidents, findings, and recommendations for remediation.

• Partner with IT, infrastructure, and security teams across various regions.

• Assist in enhancing detection logic, monitoring procedures, and security operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response, or Security Analyst position.

• Practical experience with Splunk SIEM.

• Familiarity with EDR/security tools such as CrowdStrike, Cisco AMP, and Trend Micro.

• Proven experience in investigating security incidents and conducting threat analysis.

• Knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation methodologies.

• Understanding of endpoint security, malware analysis, and attack detection strategies.
