Security Analyst – Blue Team, SecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee security alerts, assess events, and conduct initial investigations of potential incidents.

• Perform initial forensic analysis of incidents: preserve evidence, construct timelines, and determine the initial access vector.

• Manage the entire post-incident lifecycle: root cause analysis, lessons learned, and follow-up on corrective measures.

• Monitor security operational metrics: MTTD, MTTR, alert volume, and false-positive rates.

• Develop and document the incident response strategy.

• Create and maintain playbooks and runbooks for significant incident scenarios.

• Configure and manage centralized logging systems.

• Assist with audits and organize evidence to enhance security maturity.

• Contribute to the phishing simulation program and other initiatives to promote security culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with AWS security services: CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and AWS Config.

• Practical understanding of incident response frameworks — NIST IR, SANS PICERL or equivalent — with real-world application beyond theoretical knowledge.

• Capability to conduct initial forensic analysis: evidence collection and preservation, log examination, and timeline reconstruction.

• Experience in creating operational playbooks and runbooks — documentation that performs well under pressure, not just in controlled settings.

• Familiarity with common MITRE ATT&CK tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and the ability to recognize indicators of compromise in logs and alerts.

• Proficient in communicating incident status to both technical and executive audiences with clarity and accuracy.

• Readiness to perform with speed and efficiency under pressure.

• Strong critical thinking and investigative mindset.

• Proactive approach to anticipating threats.

• Effective communication during crisis situations.

• Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
