School Psychologist, PhD or Psy.D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psycho-educational evaluations to assess students’ academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning, identifying their needs and guiding intervention strategies.

• Deliver both direct and indirect psychological services (such as intervention, counseling, and consultation) to assist students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

• Assist in the formulation, execution, and assessment of IEP goals that specifically focus on the growth of students’ social, emotional, and behavioral skills.

• Work collaboratively as a key member of multidisciplinary teams throughout the evaluation and service delivery stages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an EdS degree (or equivalent) in school psychology from a NASP-approved institution.

• For candidates in North Carolina: A PhD or Psy.D in school psychology is mandatory, alongside the standard DPI license, due to state regulations for third-party vendors.

• Hold a valid state license or certificate as a school psychologist.

• NCSP certification is preferred but not obligatory.

• Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as an on-site school psychologist (excluding practicum and internship periods).

• Exhibit proficiency across all NASP domains of practice.

• Demonstrate a track record of conducting comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations that assess students’ academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

• Experience in providing direct psychological services (such as intervention and counseling) within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.

• Capable of effectively consulting with educators and families.

• Outstanding communication skills, particularly the ability to engage with children of various ages and from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
