This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Engage in the design and execution of daily scheduling and provider templates to improve patient access and scheduling workflows.
• Ensure ongoing maintenance to guarantee that provider templates comply with PPGNY guidelines, regulatory standards, and best practices.
• Leverage understanding of clinical operations to collaborate effectively with Operations and Clinical Leadership, facilitating communication and coordination across departments to enhance scheduling efficiency.
• Promptly and accurately fulfill schedule change requests, consistently seeking opportunities to implement best practice strategies and techniques. Responsible for notifying providers and appropriate staff of schedule changes.
• Verify that vacation schedules align with organizational and site-specific goals as well as agency policies.
• Collaborate with Health Center Management to create and implement strategies that meet organizational goals and productivity benchmarks.
• Quickly inform center managers, directors, and relevant personnel of any staffing changes.
• Ensure effective communication regarding changes to maintain operational consistency.
• Actively identify and resolve scheduling challenges.
• Maintain precise and current documentation of scheduling processes and procedures.
• Monitor and track appointment availability within the electronic health record.
• Update and maintain scheduling Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other job tools.
• Minimum education: High School diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree is preferred.
• Minimum experience: At least two years of diverse professional work experience, ideally in a community or healthcare setting.
• Proficient in working with an Electronic Health Record; experience with Epic scheduling and template building is required.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.) is essential.
