This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and sustain project schedules utilizing Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable scheduling tools.
• Sequence tasks and assign resources, recognizing dependencies, durations, and critical path components to establish realistic timelines.
• Monitor progress in relation to schedules and adjust them based on field data, change orders, or unexpected delays.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect schedule inputs and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Identify and mitigate risks, including potential delays, resource shortages, or weather impacts, while formulating contingency plans.
• Create and disseminate schedule reports to both internal and external stakeholders, encompassing progress updates, variance analysis, and mitigation strategies.
• Assist with claims analysis and recovery planning when delays happen, ensuring adherence to contractual scheduling requirements.
• Work in conjunction with procurement and staffing teams to guarantee the timely availability of materials, equipment, and labor.
• Travel for various assignments as required.
• Proficiency in scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management.
• Capability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with construction workflows, permitting, and inspection timelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize changing deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; an associate’s degree with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Must be willing to travel for various assignments.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are expected.
