This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Schedule, cancel, reschedule, and register outpatient visits and procedures across multiple ambulatory clinics.
• Gather all necessary patient information required for scheduling and registration.
• Obtain and verify patient guarantor information at least once a year.
• Generate referrals when necessary referrals or authorizations are required.
• Schedule and register patients in accordance with scheduling guidelines and medical appropriateness.
• Identify and communicate any scheduling modifications and areas for development.
• Promptly notify relevant personnel about scheduling changes resulting from cancellations.
• Address patient and staff needs and complaints appropriately, involving supervisors and patient representatives when necessary.
• Consult with referring physician offices to ensure the existence of written or electronic orders and obtain them when required.
• Verify orders for completeness and document requests for external orders.
• Complete Workques and daily scheduling-area tasks within a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to patient communications.
• Escalate urgent needs to the appropriate responsible area.
• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• State criminal background check and Federal criminal background check, if applicable, as mandated for regulated areas.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
