SBA Closing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and assess SBA loan closing documents to ensure adherence to SBA guidelines and lender requirements.

• Gather and arrange loan application materials, including financial statements, tax returns, and personal financial statements.

• Serve as the main point of contact for borrowers, lenders, and third parties throughout the loan process.

• Evaluate borrower information and supporting documentation to confirm the loan's intended purpose.

• Oversee the closing timeline by monitoring loan status and following up with relevant parties to ensure deadlines are achieved.

• Conduct compliance checks, including CAIVRS and SAM.gov reports.

• Work collaboratively with underwriters to fulfill pre-closing requirements.

• Maintain organized loan files to comply with regulatory demands.

• Assist with post-closing activities and identify opportunities for process enhancements.

• Act as a resource and mentor for new team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• At least 2-4 years of experience in SBA loan closing or commercial lending.

• Comprehensive understanding of SBA 7(a) loan program guidelines and regulations (SOP 50 10).

• Strong grasp of loan documentation, closing processes, and legal terminology.

• Experience with SBA loan processing software and document management systems is preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documents.

• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, lenders, and third-party vendors.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

• Proficient problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues promptly.
