SAP Solution Consultant

• This role is both dynamic and comprehensive, placing your voice at the forefront of how we assist our clients. It serves as a consultative advisory position that empowers our customers to convert their technical stack into effective solutions.

• You will collaborate with seasoned professionals who have predominantly over 20 years of experience with SAP technology, alongside a team skilled in problem-solving with a customer-focused approach to service delivery. This opportunity will provide you with tailored insights into our clients, their needs, and an understanding of how third-party support facilitates their business transformations well into the 2040s. There's potential for you to explore additional verticals and enhance your sales and presentation skills in a rapidly evolving industry that has garnered significant attention from industry experts.

• You will guide our customers on their path to recognizing alternative support methods, drawing from your experience and knowledge concerning the deployment, management, and updates of the SAP ERP stack (any familiarity with Oracle or VMware is advantageous).

• You will assist in framing narratives and translating technology challenges into tangible business solutions and results.

• Your involvement will be crucial in the commercial dimensions of the solution by drafting support expenditure estimates and cost forecasting models.

• You will significantly impact both the technical and financial elements of the solution by collaborating with various teams across different time zones, often under tight deadlines.

• You will proactively adjust to new challenges with minimal supervision and take ownership of developing processes and frameworks tailored to the South African market.

• You will excel at gauging your audience during conversations and adapting your discussion points or responses accordingly.

• A collaborative team member with a keen interest in understanding the intricacies of third-party support, eager to invest time and effort to learn and work alongside peers and colleagues throughout the process.

• Cultivates and maintains strong, enduring relationships with in-region partners concerning delivery, resale, referral, and license compliance.

• Leads, manages, and collaborates on RFP/RFI/RFQ activities, ensuring high-quality and timely submissions.

• Anticipates potential challenges and proactively addresses them by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Shows foresight by identifying messaging gaps and producing quality collateral (PowerPoint presentations, whitepapers, data analyses) with minimal supervision.

• Establishes credibility with prospects and partners by utilizing deep technical expertise and experience to foster trust and influence.

• Quickly develops a solid understanding of SAP's security approach under third-party support, serving as a trusted security advisor to prospects, customers, and partners.

• You will provide advice to your sales peers regarding the interconnected nature of the SAP software landscape in your view.

• You will engage with a diverse range of industries in the South African region and globally, working with an array of unique customer sets.

• You will excel in a team environment while also thriving independently with minimal supervision, continuously developing and enhancing your contributions by leveraging your expertise and knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing position such as consultant, solutions engineer, or solutions architect.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for listening and collaborating with customers to fully grasp the issues they face and ensuring they adopt the most suitable solution.

• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying the Spinnaker message to both technical and non-technical audiences (including CxO level).

• Ability to think both rationally and creatively to identify opportunities within challenges.

• Extensive product knowledge (primarily around ECC, S/4HANA) stemming from over 10 years of experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of the SAP roadmap - RISE/GROW, including the pros and cons of transitioning to RISE.

• Proficiency in Netweaver/ABAP Platform, BOBJ, MES, and other SAP technologies. Experience with SaaS platforms such as BTP is a bonus.

• Well-acquainted with industry-specific IT processes within SAP.

• Displays a positive attitude towards challenges, skilled in turning them into effective solutions, with a solid understanding of SAP Cloud strategies.

• Good knowledge and/or experience with SAP application security as well as technical security around the BASIS technology stack.
