Senior SAP IBP Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee the functional design and implementation of SAP IBP solutions throughout supply chain planning areas.

• Convert business and planning needs into scalable SAP IBP solution architectures, covering planning processes, master data, key figures, planning levels, algorithms, and user workflows.

• Facilitate fit-to-standard and fit-gap discussions, offering insights based on SAP IBP capabilities and best practices.

• Establish functional design choices and maintain consistency across planning workstreams and integrated processes.

• Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to outline integration requirements among SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA, and other enterprise systems.

• Set best-practice configuration standards that align with SAP's quarterly release roadmap.

• Lead or assist in full-cycle SAP IBP implementations from the discovery phase to support transition.

• Conduct client workshops and guide discussions with supply chain planners, business process owners, and leadership stakeholders.

• Comprehend business needs, pinpoint process and system gaps, and propose solution alternatives and recommendations.

• Act as the functional point of contact for designated IBP workstreams.

• Coordinate efforts among functional, integration, data, development, and project management teams.

• Assist in SIT, UAT, cutover, and business readiness tasks.

• Provide functional leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to consultants and client teams.

• Contribute to SAP IBP practice assets, accelerators, templates, design standards, methodologies, and demo environments.

• Disseminate SAP IBP product updates, lessons learned, and best practices throughout the consulting team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline; an MBA is a plus.

• Over 5 years of experience in SAP supply chain planning.

• Experience with multiple full-cycle SAP IBP implementations.

• Strong practical functional configuration experience in SAP IBP.

• Practical implementation experience in Advanced Demand Planning.

• Practical implementation experience in statistical modeling using advanced algorithms such as MLR and ARIMA.

• Practical implementation experience in Advanced Supply Planning.

• Practical implementation experience with Optimizer.

• Practical implementation experience with Order-Based Planning (OBP).

• Experience in leading functional workstreams, client workshops, solution design discussions, and implementation tasks.

• Knowledge of integration between SAP IBP and SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems.

• Capability to translate supply chain requirements into functional SAP IBP designs.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing dependencies across multiple project workstreams.

• SAP certification in SAP IBP or related SAP Supply Chain solutions is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
