SAP Production Planning, Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive SAP PP solution architecture encompassing production planning, demand management, material requirements planning (MRP), capacity planning, shop floor control, and manufacturing execution processes.

• Design and oversee the production master data, which includes material masters, bills of material (BOMs), routings, work centers, production versions, and planning strategies.

• Specify planning and manufacturing processes, including MRP, demand planning, production orders, process orders, repetitive manufacturing, and production scheduling.

• Create integration architecture connecting SAP PP with other related SAP solutions such as MM, SD, QM, EWM, FI/CO, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

• Facilitate blueprint workshops, solution design sessions, architecture reviews, and requirements-gathering tasks in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.

• Assess manufacturing processes and the technologies that support them; develop recommendations, roadmaps, and solution strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and production performance.

• Establish security, authorization, and role-based access strategies that support planners, schedulers, production supervisors, and manufacturing personnel.

• Ensure architectural governance throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining alignment with SAP best practices, scalability, maintainability, and business objectives.

• Work alongside technical teams to assist with integrations, reporting, data migration, enhancements, and custom development initiatives.

• Guide consultants and project team members by providing mentorship on solution design decisions and implementation best practices.

• Aid in business development efforts, including solution estimates, statements of work, and the development of technical proposals as a subject matter expert.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) implementation.

• At least 2 full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations with a focus on solution architecture, enterprise design, or leading architecture functions.

• Extensive knowledge in SAP PP configuration and architecture, covering MRP, demand management, production orders, routings, work centers, BOMs, capacity planning, and production scheduling.

• Proven experience in designing manufacturing solutions for complex production environments.

• Strong understanding of SAP PP integration with MM, SD, QM, EWM, FI/CO, and MES solutions.

• Demonstrated capability to lead workshops, facilitate design sessions, and effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
