SAP MDG Material Master Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collect business requirements via workshops and convert them into Material Master data governance solutions.

• Create and configure SAP MDG-M data models, attributes, entities, and their interrelationships.

• Set up MDG UI/FPM and assist in master data maintenance workflows.

• Design and establish Change Request types along with approval workflows.

• Configure BRF+ validation and derivation rules.

• Define and uphold standards for Material Master data quality and governance.

• Configure and facilitate DRF for the downstream distribution of Material Master data.

• Collaborate with IDocs, Web Services/SOAP, and various integration technologies.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to workflows, validation, activation, and replication.

• Draft functional specifications and work with technical teams on enhancements and custom solutions.

• Create and run unit tests while supporting SIT and UAT activities.

• Offer production support and implement corrective measures.

• Partner with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, integration teams, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizen work authorization.

• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP MDG for Material Master.

• Solid understanding of SAP MM and Material Master business processes.

• Experience in configuring MDG data models, UI/FPM, Change Requests, and workflows.

• Strong knowledge of BRF+ validation and derivation rules.

• Familiarity with DRF and Material Master replication.

• Understanding of IDocs, Web Services/SOAP, ALE/RFC, and SAP integration principles.

• Experience in multi-system SAP landscapes.

• Strong comprehension of Material Master data quality, governance, and lifecycle management.

• Background in requirements gathering, functional design, testing, UAT, and production support.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
