SAP MDG Funds Management, Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate sessions for gathering requirements and conducting business process workshops focused on the governance of Funds Management master data.

• Document functional requirements, capture business rules, and collaborate with stakeholders to design Funds Management master data models.

• Configure SAP MDG for Funds Management, which includes data modeling, UI FPM modeling, and process modeling.

• Set up change request workflows, validation rules, and derivation rules utilizing BRF+.

• Provide governance support for Funds, Funds Centers, Commitment Items, Funded Programs, and related PSM master data.

• Configure DRF and facilitate synchronization via SOA Services, Web Services, IDocs, and ALE.

• Work alongside Finance, Controlling, PSM, Grants Management, and technical teams to ensure integrated SAP financial master data.

• Design and uphold governance policies, validation rules, duplicate checks, and approval workflows.

• Assist with integration efforts involving SAP FI, CO, G/L, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and associated modules.

• Create documentation for functional, configuration, and business processes.

• Aid in data migration, conversion, and master data cleansing during implementation phases.

• Conduct unit and integration testing and provide support for UAT.

• Resolve production issues and assist with system enhancements.

• Engage in process mapping and change management activities.

• Occasionally travel to client locations for on-site support.

• Contribute to quality assurance efforts and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with security policies.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; at least 5 years of relevant experience in SAP MDG, SAP Funds Management, or SAP PSM, or 5 to 7 years without a Bachelor’s degree.

• Proven experience in configuring SAP MDG Funds Management, including data modeling, workflow configuration, UI FPM modeling, BRF+, and DRF.

• Strong knowledge of SAP FM and PSM master data within SAP S/4HANA.

• Experience in integrating Funds Management with SAP FI, CO, G/L, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and Grants Management.

• Background in gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, producing functional design documentation, and supporting solution delivery.

• Familiarity with multi-system SAP landscapes and enterprise master data governance initiatives.

• Capability to manage moderately complex SAP MDG Funds Management issues with minimal oversight.

• Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.

• Active Secret clearance, experience with federal ERP/DoD SAP, PSM, GM, Central Finance, federal financial management, integration technologies, data migration, and relevant SAP certifications are advantageous.
