SAP MDG EAM Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the gathering of business requirements and conduct workshops with essential stakeholders.

• Design and configure SAP MDG data models, including entities, attributes, relationships, and governance processes.

• Set up Change Request workflows and approval processes utilizing MDG workflow and BRF+.

• Define and implement rules for validation and derivation to ensure master data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

• Create and uphold data governance standards, policies, and quality controls for EAM master data.

• Prepare Functional Design Documents, functional specifications, process flows, and project documentation.

• Configure and support the Data Replication Framework for the distribution of master data across SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Assist in master data harmonization and integration across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and downstream systems.

• Collaborate with technical and integration teams to address data replication and interface challenges.

• Support activities related to data cleansing, migration, validation, and reconciliation.

• Plan and carry out functional testing, which includes unit testing, SIT, regression testing, and UAT support.

• Provide production support and troubleshoot MDG workflows, validations, data activation, and replication challenges.

• Promote the continuous enhancement of EAM master data governance processes and recommend best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizen work authorization.

• 5–10+ years of experience in SAP.

• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA EAM/PM and SAP ECC PM.

• Hands-on experience with SAP MDG implementation, configuration, and support.

• In-depth knowledge of MDG data modeling, Change Requests, workflows, and BRF+.

• Experience with DRF and master data replication.

• Comprehensive understanding of EAM/Plant Maintenance master data and associated business processes.

• Proven experience working within complex multi-system SAP landscapes and master data harmonization.

• Ability to translate business requirements into effective functional solutions.

• Experience in preparing FDDs, functional specifications, process documentation, and test cases.

• Capability to independently lead workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Preferred: experience in end-to-end SAP MDG EAM implementation or rollout projects.

• Preferred: experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation or global template implementation.

• Preferred: experience with master data migration, cleansing, and governance initiatives.

• Preferred: exposure to integration technologies and enterprise-wide master data distribution.

• Preferred: experience working with global stakeholders and large-scale SAP environments.
