SAP FICO Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversees and processes accounts payable transactions within the SAP system.

• Works in collaboration with client finance teams to ensure prompt and accurate processing of invoices and vendor payments.

• Reconciles vendor statements and addresses any discrepancies.

• Configures SAP AP modules and troubleshoots system issues to guarantee seamless integration with other financial systems.

• Engages with internal teams and vendors to resolve AP-related inquiries.

• Assists with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Keeps documentation of AP processes and procedures updated.

• Identifies and implements improvements and best practices for SAP AP functions to boost efficiency and compliance.

• Aids in large-scale data migrations and system testing activities within SAP AP, as required.

• Participates in process mapping and change management initiatives to facilitate the successful adoption of AP solutions.

• Occasionally travels to client sites to provide on-site support.

• Complies with all certified processes as part of our commitment to uphold the highest standards of quality and information security, actively engaging in quality assurance activities and safeguarding sensitive information in line with our security policies.

• Performs additional related tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 3-5 years of relevant SAP Accounts Payable/finance systems experience (5-7 years without a Bachelor’s degree).

• Proven experience in configuring and supporting SAP AP functionality, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and maintenance of financial records.

• Experience in reconciling vendor statements, addressing discrepancies, and assisting with month-end/year-end closing activities.

• Ability to apply judgment within established practices and manage moderately complex AP/SAP issues with minimal supervision.

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining an active government clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
