SAP Extended Warehouse Management, Transportation Management Operations Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluates and enhances warehouse and transportation operations utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, concentrating on minimizing waste, improving cycle times, and establishing standard practices.

• Recognizes system and process deficiencies within SAP EWM and TM, formulating actionable and sustainable solutions.

• Works in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure alignment, and promote continuous improvement efforts.

• Develops clear, user-friendly desk guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) rooted in lean process design.

• Provides hands-on, over-the-shoulder training to frontline associates, empowering users to enhance system adoption and confidence.

• Facilitates communication at all organizational levels, from executive leadership to operations teams, translating complex SAP concepts into understandable business terms.

• Assists with configuration, functional testing, and post-go-live hypercare activities to stabilize and optimize processes.

• Offers change management support, aiding in user adoption by interpreting technical changes into operational impacts and benefits.

• Creates mechanisms for ongoing feedback from end users to guide iterative improvements.

• Travels to client sites up to 50% of the time.

• Complies with all certified processes as part of our dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality and information security, including active participation in quality assurance activities and safeguarding sensitive information in line with our security policies.

• Performs additional related tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required – bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent years of experience.

• Required – experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.

• Required – capability to obtain government security clearance for government engagements (U.S. Citizenship is necessary).

• Desired – over 5 years of SAP Functional experience, with extensive knowledge of EWM and TM modules.

• Required – strong background in warehouse and transportation execution environments.

• Required – willingness to travel 50% of the time to client warehouse locations.

• Desired – prior experience in a similar role.

• Desired – previous experience working with U.S. Government agencies (Defense Logistics Agency preferred).

• Desired – experience in SAP functional roles and previous client-facing consulting experience.
