SAP Business Data Cloud, BI Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Configure connections, data flows, and outbound endpoints for existing ADF pipelines using SAP BDC and Datasphere.

• Design, develop, and sustain data integration solutions within SAP Business Data Cloud, encompassing ingestion, transformation, replication, orchestration, and monitoring.

• Provide access to SAP data via OData services, REST APIs, and Open Connectors.

• Create and publish SAP CDS Views from S/4HANA into Datasphere.

• Establish remote tables, replication flows, and layers for data persistence.

• Activate delta and CDC for incremental data pipelines.

• Oversee authentication and ensure secure connectivity between SAP BDC and Azure.

• Develop and support integrations with S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere, and other enterprise applications.

• Maintain ADF pipelines, monitor their performance, resolve failures, and ensure compliance with SLA requirements.

• Transition ADF pipelines to native SAP Datasphere data flows and transformation layers.

• Create analytical datasets and semantic models for Power BI within Datasphere.

• Configure and manage connectivity between Datasphere and Power BI.

• Design and maintain reports, dashboards, stories, and analytical applications using Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud.

• Develop logical and physical data models for reporting, planning, forecasting, and analytics.

• Optimize ETL/ELT processes and transformation logic.

• Monitor the reliability and performance of integrations, pipelines, and reporting environments.

• Resolve data integration, reporting, and analytics challenges.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation detailing architecture, lineage, data flows, models, and reporting specifications.

• Provide user support, training, and knowledge transfer.

• Investigate SAP analytics and data management technologies and suggest enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in SAP data and analytics.

• Strong practical knowledge of SAP Business Data Cloud and/or SAP Datasphere.

• Proficient in configuring SAP Datasphere as a data source and in creating native data flows, transformation views, and analytical datasets.

• Capability to expose SAP data through OData services, REST APIs, or Open Connectors.

• Experience in defining and publishing SAP CDS Views from S/4HANA into Datasphere.

• Familiarity with remote tables, replication flows, and data persistence layers in Datasphere.

• Understanding of enabling delta and CDC.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.

• Experience in linking SAP Datasphere to Power BI, including live connections, DirectQuery, and semantic model publication.

• Background in planning or executing data pipeline migrations.

• Knowledge of SAP data models across FI, CO, SD, MM, and PS.

• Strong SQL and data transformation capabilities within SAP Datasphere and HANA Cloud.

• Experience in managing secure connectivity between SAP BDC and Azure using OAuth, service principals, and SAP Integration Suite.

• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data integration patterns.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Proficiency in SAP analytics platforms, cloud data technologies, SQL, and Microsoft Office applications.

• SAP certification in Datasphere, Analytics Cloud, or BW/4HANA is a plus.

• Knowledge of Python or SQL scripting, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW/4HANA Open Hub, SAP HANA Cloud, Power BI dataflows, and governance for enterprise-scale reporting is advantageous.
