This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver technical support for client SAP Basis systems.
• Enhance, update, and implement critical modifications.
• Design new SAP solutions and develop SAP procedures.
• Provide project-based and production support for managed client environments.
• Assist with SAP system migrations and landscape refresh activities.
• Oversee data protection, including database backup and recovery operations.
• Configure systems for high availability.
• Conduct SAP performance management, patching, problem resolution, and ongoing maintenance tasks.
• Identify best practices for future landscapes both within and beyond the SAP department.
• Create and maintain documentation for problem resolution, root cause analysis, and procedural guidelines.
• Foster continuous improvement in system operations alongside delivery and development teams.
• Carry out root cause analysis with software development and delivery teams.
• Achieve defined project objectives.
• Report directly to the Principal Director of Application Support.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent experience.
• Over 3 years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization within a 24/7 operational environment.
• Strong background in administering the SAP HANA database.
• Knowledge of SAP security principles.
• Preferred experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible.
• Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools.
• Understanding of agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.).
• Experience with AWS and Azure services in commercial or government cloud environments.
• Development experience in a high-level programming language such as Python or Java is a plus.
• Experience with Sybase ASE is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated ownership bias.
• Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Availability to work from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Pacific Time.
