SAP ABAP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain applications utilizing the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), in both managed and unmanaged environments.

• Create side-by-side and in-app developer extensions adhering to Clean Core principles for S/4HANA Public Cloud.

• Generate CDS views, including analytical and projection views, behavior definitions, and OData V2/V4 service bindings.

• Design and implement SAP Fiori apps using Fiori elements and freestyle UI5 when necessary.

• Architect and deploy solutions on SAP BTP, encompassing ABAP Environment/Steampunk, Integration Suite, Build Work Zone, and Event Mesh.

• Leverage released APIs and extension points, including whitelisted objects, Key User Extensibility, BAdIs, and Business Events.

• Apply ABAP Cloud best practices, incorporating ATC checks, ABAP Unit testing, and code reviews.

• Collaborate with abapGit/gCTS and manage transports in ADT (Eclipse).

• Convert functional requirements from Spanish-speaking stakeholders into technical specifications.

• Mentor junior developers and advocate for development standards.

• Work closely with Spanish-speaking functional consultants and business stakeholders on an extensive SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or fluent in Spanish, with a good command of English.

• Availability to work during Spanish business hours (approximately 09:00-18:00 CET/CEST).

• Over 7 years of ABAP experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years in RAP and ABAP Cloud.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with S/4HANA Public Cloud and Clean Core strategy.

• Strong understanding of CDS, OData, AMDP, and ABAP OO.

• Significant experience with Fiori/UI5 and SAP BTP.

• Familiarity with ADT (Eclipse).

• Knowledge of Git-based workflows is advantageous.

• Complete commitment to the project, with no concurrent assignments.

• SAP certifications (ABAP Cloud, BTP, S/4HANA Cloud) are desirable.

• Experience with CAP (Node.js/Java), SAP Build, or SAP Joule is a plus.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.

• Experience in Finance, Logistics, or Manufacturing processes is a plus.
