This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical authority for the ASPCA Information Technology Salesforce instance.

• Supervise the complete software development lifecycle, encompassing planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

• Lead and mentor a team of three Salesforce professionals.

• Oversee performance management, feedback, career development, training, hiring, timesheet management, scheduling, and team objectives.

• Guide the planning, development, and execution of custom, scalable Salesforce solutions.

• Convert business requirements into well-designed Salesforce solutions.

• Manage workflows, validation rules, approval processes, assignment rules, and various processes and flows.

• Supervise CI/CD and Gearset pipeline management alongside the Salesforce Administrator/Release Manager.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, stakeholders, and clients to gather requirements, designs, roadmaps, and priorities.

• Communicate project progress, solution advantages and risks, and effort estimates.

• Create reports, dashboards, workflows, and processes to ensure data quality and integrity.

• Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to security protocols.

• Monitor the health and usage of the Salesforce system and identify areas for improvement.

• Manage user profiles, roles, permissions, record distribution, security, queues, licenses, capacity, database, and storage limits.

• Act as the escalation point for complex issues.

• Provide after-hours support for mission-critical applications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency with the Force.com Platform, including Apex, VisualForce, Salesforce APIs, SOQL, and unit testing.

• Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Lightning and configuration of Lightning Web Components.

• Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Flow Builder.

• Advanced proficiency with the out-of-the-box functionality and configuration of Salesforce.com.

• Proficiency required in Force.com Migration Tool.

• Preferred knowledge of data migration from CSV, SQL, or other systems to Salesforce using tools like Salesforce Data Loader.

• Preferred proficiency with GitHub for code change control.

• Understanding of relational databases, database architecture, data modeling, and ETL tools.

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies, SaaS, and IT best practices.

• Knowledge of complex business systems integration, object-oriented design patterns, and development.

• Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

• Proficiency in English required.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

• At least 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and leading technical teams required.

• Experience as a Technical Lead and utilizing Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning and estimation, required.

• Proven experience in developing custom Salesforce solutions required.

• Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications required.

• Strongly preferred: 2+ years using Salesforce to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions.

• Preferred experience in creating SOPs, managing tickets, generating incident reports, processing change requests, and troubleshooting technical issues.

• Preferred experience leading the planning, development, and implementation of custom and scalable Salesforce solutions.

• Preferred experience working in a nonprofit organization.

• Preferred experience using a Salesforce DevOps platform, specifically Gearset.
