Salesforce Project Manager – PMP, Public Sector, Govt Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +28 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive Salesforce Government Cloud and Public Sector implementation projects throughout the entire SDLC and Agile delivery lifecycle.

• Manage project scope, timelines, finances, risks, dependencies, deliverables, resource allocation, and client expectations during the engagement lifecycle.

• Ensure the successful execution of intricate multi-cloud, multi-integration Salesforce initiatives involving cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

• Act as the main contact for client stakeholders, enabling executive-level communications, status updates, workshops, governance meetings, and delivery reviews.

• Work closely with solution architects, business analysts, developers, QA teams, and leadership to confirm technical and functional solution strategies.

• Track project health through KPIs, financial monitoring, RAID logs, sprint metrics, and delivery milestones while actively addressing risks and resolving escalations.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and release planning activities.

• Ensure compliance with Salesforce implementation best practices, governance standards, compliance requirements, and delivery methodologies.

• Assist in project solutioning activities, including requirements gathering, estimation, roadmap development, implementation strategy, and change management.

• Engage in pre-sales and business development activities, which include scoping workshops, statement of work evaluations, effort estimation, and client presentations.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to delivery teams, including offshore and remote resources, while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Coordinate deployment readiness, testing efforts, UAT support, release management, and production cutover planning.

• Cultivate strong client relationships while positioning FormativGroup as a trusted advisor and strategic delivery partner.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience managing enterprise Salesforce implementation projects in consulting or professional services settings.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience leading Salesforce Public Sector and Government Cloud implementations.

• Extensive experience delivering solutions across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (Community Cloud), Lightning Platform, and Force.com.

• Over 8 years of experience leading Agile software delivery initiatives across project, product, or program management domains.

• Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.

• Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-workstream, multi-cloud Salesforce programs with complex integration environments.

• Experience leading geographically dispersed delivery teams, including offshore and onshore models.

• Strong knowledge of Salesforce delivery methodologies, release management, SDLC processes, and Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, and XP.

• Experience in managing project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, utilization tracking, and delivery performance metrics.

• Proven capability to manage executive stakeholders, facilitate challenging discussions, and foster alignment between technical and business teams.

• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to comprehend Salesforce architecture, integrations, APIs, data migration strategies, and platform capabilities.

• Experience working within regulated or government environments, with an understanding of compliance, governance, and security considerations.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and client relationship management skills.

• Ability to function effectively in fast-paced consulting environments while managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
