This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Oversee the production environment while ensuring a resilient Salesforce architecture that supports scalability across Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds.
• Spearhead the implementation and management of Salesforce Data Cloud, guaranteeing high-quality data ingestion, harmonization, and unification (Identity Resolution) to enhance downstream AI and analytics.
• Direct the strategy and deployment of Agentforce, creating and managing autonomous agents that utilize Data Cloud insights to optimize business processes.
• Work collaboratively with Product and Stakeholders to ensure that CRM and Data strategies are in sync with technical capabilities and long-term roadmap objectives.
• Hold accountability for the sprint lifecycle, upholding best practices in Salesforce DevOps and strictly adhering to data privacy and governance standards within the CRM.
• Ensure the integrity of code (Apex, LWC) and the quality of declarative configurations, actively seeking platform optimizations to minimize technical debt and data silos.
• Assume hands-on responsibility for the performance and output of the CRM engineering team.
• Establish S.M.A.R.T goals, providing detailed guidance on Salesforce career paths and emerging AI technologies and Data Cloud.
• Recruit and interview to build and expand the team, specifically targeting talent capable of adapting to the transition towards agentic AI.
• Focus on employee morale, creating a culture of continuous learning and high engagement.
• Collaborate on strategic requirements, converting high-level business needs into actionable Salesforce execution plans.
• Serve as the CRM Subject Matter Expert, identifying potential platform bottlenecks and resolving complex integration challenges.
• Manage sprint planning and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of high-value features and Agentforce workflows.
• Represent the CRM domain in executive meetings, leveraging data-driven insights to influence decision-making.
• Embody the company's principles while fostering an inclusive, supportive, and high-performance work culture.
• Stay updated on the Salesforce release cycle, particularly regarding innovations in AI, Data Cloud, and Agentforce.
• Improve transparency between the technical team and non-technical business units.
• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in the Salesforce ecosystem and over 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated experience or in-depth theoretical knowledge in deploying Salesforce Agentforce (or similar LLM-based agentic workflows).
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related discipline.
• Strong capability to balance business urgency with technical sustainability.
