This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Harness.io for Salesforce metadata deployments in both sandbox and production environments.
• Create and sustain Python-based orchestration and business logic layers to enhance Harness.io functionalities.
• Write and manage pipeline YAML configurations, templates, and reusable components.
• Develop custom tools for delta deployment generation, environment drift detection, backup and restore, and structured reporting.
• Oversee container images, artifact repositories, and dependencies related to pipeline infrastructure.
• Implement integrations with notification systems, work item tracking tools, and source control connectors.
• Diagnose pipeline failures, connectivity issues, and deployment errors.
• Act as the primary contact for deployment triage and release failures.
• Manage the complete release lifecycle, including branching, work item assembly, manifest generation, validation, and production deployment.
• Coordinate metadata promotions among developers, administrators, and release managers.
• Provision, configure, and manage Salesforce sandbox environments.
• Offer operational support and guidance to development, QA, and release management teams.
• Define and implement the DevSecOps roadmap.
• Assess and integrate code quality gates, security scanning, and automated testing frameworks.
• Promote enhancements in deployment processes, environment refresh automation, and drift remediation.
• Maintain architecture guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and onboarding materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet organizational goals and compliance requirements.
• Mentor team members on DevSecOps methodologies, branching strategies, and secure development workflows.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least eleven (11) years of general work experience.
• Experience managing DevSecOps environments and deployments specifically for Salesforce platforms.
• Knowledge of Salesforce sandbox and production environments along with metadata configurations.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience using declarative Salesforce deployment tools.
• At least three (3) years’ experience with DevSecOps tools such as Harness.io, Copado, Flosum, or Jenkins.
• Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining Harness.io CI/CD pipelines, YAML, templates, and platform administration.
• Proficiency in Python 3.9+ with type hints.
• Strong skills in Bash and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CLI.
• Excellent command of Git CLI, including branching, merge conflict resolution, cherry-pick operations, and multi-branch workflows.
• Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce metadata types, sandbox architecture, deployment processes, and the development lifecycle.
• Proven experience in CI/CD, environment management, and release management.
• Ability to generate technical documentation, architecture guides, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Strong diagnostic and analytical skills for addressing deployment failures and integration issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with developers, administrators, release managers, and executive stakeholders.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Public Trust Clearance.
• Must meet pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
• Preferred: Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer.
• Preferred: Experience in test automation, Robot Framework or Playwright, Copado, advanced Salesforce branching strategies, SonarQube, PMD, Checkmarx, Docker, container registries, and sfdx-git-delta.
