This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Accountable for generating revenue by acquiring new business accounts through methods such as prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, selling, and closing sales of Courseware and the Digital Higher Education Courseware & Digital product portfolio via direct institutional sales and channel sales.
• Safeguard revenue and achieve up-sale targets with current customers by cultivating strong account relationships and effectively engaging with the customer base.
• Establish robust relationships with faculty members, Heads of Departments, Board of Studies members, librarians, and placement officers.
• Perform digital product demonstrations for potential customers and efficiently sample the courseware (print titles) portfolio in accordance with business seasonality.
• Ensure timely collection of payments according to business schedules.
• Develop and oversee an effective distribution channel to enhance sales performance.
• Conduct market research to analyze competitors and market trends, positioning Pearson products with a competitive edge.
• Create and maintain accurate and timely tracking and forecasting in OneCRM (salesforce.com).
• Exhibit excellent organizational and follow-up skills throughout the order, delivery, and payment collection process, coordinating with various stakeholders.
• Plan and execute campus visits regularly, optimizing each visit by meeting multiple stakeholders.
• Maintain a daily call target of 10 calls per day.
• Utilize effective consultative sales techniques (including pre-call planning, productive questioning strategies, effective matching, and closing) that lead to successful business acquisition.
• Actively participate in Market Storm and new product launch initiatives. Implement promotional strategies defined by the Marketing team to draw in more customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer success, subject matter experts, and operations, to ensure the highest levels of faculty satisfaction are achieved and maintained.
• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and successful work experience; possessing an MBA degree will be advantageous.
• At least 4 years of outstanding sales performance in the higher education market or a related industry.
• Proven proficiency with MS Office tools, mobile technologies, computer applications, and business systems such as ERP/Sales Force.
• This is a remote position requiring approximately 80% travel, including but not limited to visits to local college campuses, institutes, channel partners, and Pearson offices.
