This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of standardized processes for commercial contracting, pricing frameworks, and deal-review governance specifically designed for BESS projects.

• Advocate for the integration and refinement of sophisticated Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, CRM platforms, and commercial tracking databases to facilitate smooth transaction processes.

• Assume personal responsibility for spearheading high-stakes negotiations with customers and finalizing Ford Energy’s most significant, intricate, or high-risk contracts for BESS product supply and services.

• Perform thorough analyses of commercial and operational risks associated with proposed agreements, crafting innovative structuring solutions to address complex terms while safeguarding company profitability.

• Operate as the primary coordinator among Sales, Legal, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing departments by enhancing communication, monitoring dependencies, and removing obstacles, ensuring that negotiated commitments are clear, comprehensible, and executable.

• Manage and resolve complicated post-signature contract amendments, disputes, and commercial adjustments, both internally and with external partners and clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Over 10 years of experience in sales operations, commercial contract management, deal structuring, or a similar customer-facing commercial position (or 8+ years with a Master's degree).

• Negotiation Expertise: A robust background in leading direct, customer-facing negotiations for high-value capital equipment, utility-scale projects, or complex industrial supply agreements.

• Collaborative Capability: Proven ability to lead rapid, startup-like initiatives with influence and achieve consensus within a large, highly matrixed organization—balancing speed, uncertainty, and structure to achieve results.

• Execution Excellence: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage several priorities and adapt timelines in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
