This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Oversee the entire sales process, from generating leads to successfully closing deals within the Japanese retail market.
• Establish and nurture multiple connections within targeted organizations, interacting with executives, as well as operations, finance, and IT teams.
• Aim to form partnerships with prominent retail entities such as 7/11, Family Mart, Lawson, and drugstores like Matsumoto Kiyoshi.
• Develop and utilize relationships with leading CPG brands to secure agreements on data purchases, leveraging this to convince retailers to adopt the OmniShelf platform.
• Employ a consultative approach to address operational challenges faced by retailers, including planogram compliance, inventory visibility, and shelf optimization.
• A minimum of 5 years in B2B software sales, business development, sales engineering, or technical sales roles, preferably in Retail Technology, AI Solutions, SaaS, or enterprise software.
• Previous experience with FMCG/CPG brands or traditional retailers, alongside a strong understanding of retail operations such as planogram compliance, demand forecasting, pricing analysis, category management, merchandising, and POS systems.
• Demonstrated experience in full-cycle sales with a focus on a "lead to close" mindset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Japanese retail landscape, particularly convenience stores and pharmaceutical chains.
• Proven capability to comprehend client business needs and connect them to commercial opportunities.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Exceptional ability to build rapport with C-suite executives and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Native proficiency in Japanese and full professional proficiency in English.
