This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Execute and implement the local Motion strategy within the HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration) sector.
• Accountable for the support and focused processing of planning and engineering firms, particularly end customer corporations.
• Engage in technical and commercial negotiations with clients while identifying and assisting both existing and potential customers at municipal and industrial levels.
• Emphasize on acquiring new clients with a significant focus on cold calling efforts and market expansion in the domains of data centers, district heating, and industrial heat pump applications.
• Offer technical guidance, product pre-qualification, and training to planners, engineering firms, system integrators, and end users.
• Collect and analyze customer, market, and competition data to inform short- and long-term planning strategies in conjunction with local management.
• Work collaboratively with other ABB business units and local sales teams to enhance market presence and identify customer projects proactively.
• Participate in association activities with established local organizations, and plan, conduct, and attend technical conferences, product showcases, regional trade fairs, marketing initiatives, training programs, and exhibitions.
• Completed technician/master's degree or technical studies in electrical engineering, electric drive technology, or HVACR.
• Several years of experience in field sales, especially in cold calling and selling technically sophisticated products.
• Strong knowledge of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration industries along with in-depth product expertise in drive technology (drives and motors).
• Proven experience in the strategic development of customer relationships and accountability for revenue, margin, and customer expansion.
• Familiarity with project management and experience working alongside sales channels.
• Experience in organizing trade show participation and customer events with a product-centric focus.
• Proficient in German, both written and spoken, with a good command of English.
• Willingness to travel nationally for customer visits (three times a week) and trade fairs.
