This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The Sales Manager is tasked with sales forecasting and the creation and implementation of sales strategies aimed at driving revenue growth.
• Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and developing new relationships with designated channel partners within the Industrial Safety Business Group.
• Implement sales strategies that contribute to achieving business objectives, including sales targets and profitability.
• Manage key Channel Partners to enhance sales performance.
• Establish and nurture productive, professional relationships with Channel Partners.
• Contribute to and ensure consistent growth in the execution and realization of the annual business revenue plan.
• Develop and manage a 5Q sales forecast within the assigned geographic area.
• Participate as required in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to facilitate the achievement of lead time and on-time delivery goals.
• Provide customer feedback to Gentex personnel, including sales support, product management, and business development management resources to achieve targeted objectives.
• Proactively manage tactical execution to meet assigned sales targets that align with strategic objectives in collaboration with Channel Partners within the designated region.
• Lead, support, and analyze the joint partner planning process that establishes mutual performance objectives and goals for a successful partner relationship.
• Likely required to formulate a regional strategy based on geographic business constructs and market conditions.
• Proactively oversee continuous improvement in both internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Manage pricing parameters as outlined in authorized price books.
• Collaborate with the Channel to create an internal account mapping of the channels being sold into, detailing the products, mixes, and timing that will support future planning efforts.
• Deliver Voice of the Customer (VOC) input to the product management team to ensure alignment between the product portfolio and market demands.
• Engage in industry trade shows, exhibits, and forums.
• Assess the potential and timing for channel partner expansion or the removal/replacement of Channel Partners based on their performance.
• Analyze sales statistics to assist partners in promoting sales effectively.
• Undertake other sales and business development tasks as assigned.
• A four-year degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent professional certification in the safety sector.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, key account management, or sales roles within the personal protective equipment (PPE) market.
• Experience working with and engaging distributors and end customers is essential.
• Specific experience with distributors and end customers located in Texas, the Southwest, and/or the Rocky Mountain regions of the US.
