This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.
• Collaborate with Acceldata Account Teams, Product, and Customer Support teams to assist prospects, customers, and partners in recognizing the value and necessity of Acceldata solutions.
• Create, customize, and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers, highlighting our solutions and how they meet specific customer needs and challenges.
• Demonstrate proficiency in various Hadoop components (HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Hive, HBase, Ranger, Kerberos, Kafka, Zookeeper, etc.) along with their architecture, usage, and workflow.
• Have hands-on experience with at least one of the following tools: Apache Spark, Trino, Jupyter, and Airflow.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise and Strategic Accounts teams to identify the technical requirements and environments of prospects, enabling tailored sales strategies and providing technical expertise to effectively close deals.
• Work closely with customers to design and develop solutions that are customized to their data environments and technical specifications.
• Create comprehensive technical proposals and assist in drafting statements of work (SOWs).
• Lead the execution of POCs to showcase the value and functionality of our products within the customer's environment. Analyze outcomes and present value-oriented insights to stakeholders.
• 12+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering role within the SaaS and Data Industry.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience with at least one of the following cloud service providers: AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience with data observability, data monitoring, data integration, and/or data quality products.
• Strong comprehension of data observability trends, challenges, and opportunities present in the industry.
• Solid understanding of the data ecosystem, including data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming data architectures.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capacity to listen to customer needs, understand their challenges, and propose relevant data observability solutions.
• Ability to analyze customer data scenarios and suggest appropriate observability strategies.
• Possess a “growth mindset” - learn from mistakes, maintain a positive outlook, seek solutions, and learn from past experiences.
• Be a proactive self-starter with a natural motivation to achieve and surpass performance goals.
• Capable of operating in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with qualified prospects and customers.
• Dedication to doing “whatever it takes” to achieve success.
• Access to support from professional services and engineering when needed for technical expertise, closing gaps, or managing large or long-term engagements and pilots.
• Provide internal support to sales, presales, marketing, partner, and product teams. This includes marketing content development, demo asset creation, field intelligence, training, and subject matter expertise, all aimed at driving company success.
• Educate the sales team on the technical aspects of data observability solutions, empowering them to effectively convey product value to customers and prospects.
• Assist in the creation and upkeep of technical documentation, including product guides, technical specifications, and knowledge base articles, to help customers and internal stakeholders comprehend and utilize the data observability solutions.
