This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Formulate and implement a focused sales strategy aimed at large Defined Benefit (DB) schemes utilizing a run-on approach.
• Create a robust and sustainable pipeline of outsourcing opportunities across key segments.
• Spot early-stage opportunities and strategically position the business prior to formal procurement procedures.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with Professional Trustee firms, Scheme Trustees and Chairs, Third Party Evaluators (TPEs), independent advisers, Employee Benefit Consultants, and other intermediaries.
• Serve as a recognized and credible representative within the DB pensions market, using network influence to generate and shape opportunities.
• Represent the organization at significant industry forums, events, and thought leadership platforms.
• Oversee complex, high-value sales processes from inception to contract signing.
• Manage the complete sales lifecycle, including Opportunity qualification, Bid strategy and positioning, Commercial structuring and negotiation, Final conversion, and contract closure.
• Navigate extended sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, maintaining momentum and strategic clarity throughout.
• Ensure disciplined pipeline management to achieve strong coverage against revenue targets.
• Maintain clear visibility over opportunity progression, risks, and conversion strategies.
• Implement structured qualification frameworks to focus on winnable deals.
• Act as the central coordinator for large deal pursuits, aligning Client Relationship teams, Proposition and Product specialists, Operations and delivery leads, Commercial, pricing, and legal teams.
• Assemble and lead high-performing bid teams to produce compelling and differentiated proposals.
• Ensure alignment between client requirements, commercial goals, and operational feasibility.
• Contribute to the development of the organization’s DB run-on proposition, ensuring it aligns with trustee priorities.
• Convert market insights into actionable sales strategies and messaging.
• Advocate for a client-centric approach, ensuring solutions are focused on trustee and member outcomes.
• Proven ability to secure large, complex outsourcing or administration contracts within the DB pensions sector.
• Understanding of DB scheme dynamics and run-on strategies.
• Familiarity with trustee decision-making processes.
• Knowledge of the role and influence of TPEs and professional trustees.
• Extensive experience managing lengthy, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with significant deal values.
• Strong, established connections within the Professional trustee community, TPEs, advisers, and key industry influencers.
• Credibility to engage and influence at the Board and Trustee levels.
• Highly commercial mindset with a strong determination to succeed.
• Capacity to shape and finalize deals in competitive settings.
• Proficient in negotiation, pricing strategy, and deal structuring.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Capability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure bid situations.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills—able to effectively convey value and differentiation.
