This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Manage variable sales payments, such as commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs, for designated sales teams.
• Consistently implement commission plans, ensuring calculations align with policies while handling exception requests.
• Keep sales compensation plan document templates updated and distribute them accurately and punctually.
• Address commission-related inquiries, adjustments, and corrections effectively.
• Verify accrual and payment outcomes, providing explanations for fluctuations driven by business factors.
• Offer insights into variances in commission results.
• Document and uphold the processes for monthly/quarterly closures, commission accounting, and audits.
• Establish commission plan participants, including onboarding new hires, processing terminations, and executing plan modifications, while completing SOX audit controls.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing for new or revised sales compensation configurations.
• Identify and contribute to enhancements that streamline Sales Compensation operations.
• Promote and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles as the company expands globally and opens new offices.
• Over 5 years of experience in a Sales Compensation role.
• Background in a high-growth technology firm or a company with more than 500 employees on commission is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required, ideally in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and/or MS Excel.
• Familiarity with automated sales commission systems and their setup and operation, such as Xactly, Captivate IQ, Varicent, or Everstage.
• Proven success in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, business acumen, and awareness of industry trends.
• High levels of motivation, accountability, and adaptability.
• A demonstrated history of implementing process improvements through AI is a preferred qualification.
• Capability to oversee multiple projects concurrently is a preferred qualification.
