Safety Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and handle reports of abuse and safety incidents, especially those that may pose risks to minors, adhering to established operational guidelines.

• Perform investigations using open-source and in-platform resources into behavioral abuse and potential threat actors to discern techniques, context, and consequences.

• Assist in analytic workflows by clearly documenting findings, adhering to deadlines, and upholding a high standard of accuracy and consistency.

• Create succinct written summaries, briefings, and investigative reports for both internal and client stakeholders.

• Work collaboratively with team members, cross-functional partners, and vendor teams to ensure that requests are processed efficiently and accurately.

• Aid in the continuous enhancement of investigative workflows and knowledge resources.

• Engage in team training sessions, shadowing, and peer reviews to enhance professional expertise and investigative skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in trust & safety, behavioral abuse investigations, or similar intelligence/research roles.

• Knowledge of open-source research (OSINT), social media investigations, or online risk assessment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for presenting findings in a clear and objective manner.

• Preferred understanding of online behavioral threats, influence operations, or principles of content moderation.

• Proven capability to manage multiple cases within tight deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

• Familiarity with the intelligence or investigative lifecycle, including data validation and source evaluation.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Criminology, Cybersecurity, or Communications) or equivalent practical experience.
