This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Cultivate new relationships and expand business opportunities within your designated region.
• Oversee accounts like a business to enhance market share and ensure profitability.
• Formulate strategies to guarantee the effective use of Calix products and services by customers across their networks to enhance their business network access, customer premises, subscriber insights, and applications.
• Provide market feedback to influence product development and pricing strategies.
• Build robust working relationships across all levels and functions within the customer’s organization.
• Partner with overlay sales resources to deliver subject matter expertise, strategic direction, and support for customer interactions.
• Capable of creating a strategic territory, business, and account plan and executing it effectively.
• Over 15 years of demonstrated success in relationship building and business development with large global service providers.
• Proven experience as a quota-bearing self-starter, adept at fostering team success.
• Familiarity with the technology selection processes among global service providers in your region, from initial outreach to successful contract fulfillment.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, viewing it as an opportunity to influence business development trajectories.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong strategic and business development mindset, with evidence of the ability to thoroughly understand client businesses and align their primary objectives with Calix's core offerings.
• Ability to utilize internal resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
• Preferred knowledge of the competitive landscape in networking technology.
• Understanding of service provider business models and go-to-market strategies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud-enabled business solutions, particularly focused on Communications Service Providers.
• Generalist with a broad understanding of optical access networks, cloud, and premise systems, including wireless gateways.
• Preferred familiarity with WiFi technology, concepts, and terminology.
• Experience with micro-services delivery or container management is preferred.
• Knowledge of Customer Experience Management frameworks for broadband service providers.
• Preferred understanding of Telecom and IT standards such as TR-69, TR369, OMCI, GPON, and XGSPON.
• Proven track record of exceeding targets in previous roles.
• Experience managing the sales cycle from business advocates to the C-suite.
• Experience in managing and closing complex sales cycles, demonstrating comprehensive ownership of all aspects of territory management.
• Proficient computer skills, including Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Essential selling experience to Global Service Providers within your region.
• Expertise in negotiating and closing substantial SaaS TCV contracts for managed services.
• Previous training in Sales Methodology, CRM experience, and strong customer references.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
