This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Oversees advanced analytics, modeling, and data strategy efforts that back statewide rural health transformation initiatives.
• Creates predictive and prescriptive analytics to guide program strategy, enhance provider performance, and facilitate decision-making.
• Designs and executes statistical models, machine learning techniques, and sophisticated analytical frameworks to evaluate provider performance, uncover trends, and produce actionable insights.
• Aids in the development of performance metrics related to access, quality, financial viability, and workforce stability.
• Partners with data, technical assistance, and program teams to convert complex datasets into valuable insights for state leadership and provider stakeholders.
• Constructs dashboards, analytical tools, and visualization products to assist in program monitoring and reporting.
• Facilitates the integration and management of various data sources, including program data, claims, operational metrics, and external datasets.
• Ensures the quality, consistency, and compliance of data with reporting standards.
• Offers technical expertise on data governance, analytics methodologies, and result interpretation.
• Assists in the preparation of analytical documentation and contributes to audit-ready reporting frameworks.
• Up to 25% travel may be necessary.
• Master’s degree in data science, biostatistics, epidemiology, health informatics, or a related field is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, or data science, ideally within healthcare or public-sector contexts.
• Proficiency in machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical analysis techniques is essential.
• Advanced skills in Python, R, SQL, or comparable analytical tools are required.
• Experience in creating dashboards and data visualizations utilizing Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare data, such as claims, clinical, or operational datasets is advantageous.
• Capacity to translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting Medicaid, CMS, or federally funded initiatives is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams are essential.
