Romanian/English OPI/VRI Interpreters

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specialized vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you interpret, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Ensure all messages are conveyed accurately and in full, without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretations of messages.

• Uphold Standards of Practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Demonstrate a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Romanian."

• Minimum of 1 year of over-the-telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma obtained in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
