Romanian VRI/OPI Interpretation Vacancy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Professionally respond to calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the interpreting field, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, ensuring no addition, omission, or substitution occurs.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise interpretations of the messages.

• Implement Standards of Practice consistently.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain open communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code standards for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Romanian."

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in over-the-telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Exceptional emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.

• Meet all technical requirements for your computer setup.
