Romanian <> English Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of ethics.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary pertinent to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Ensure that all messages are conveyed accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretations of messages.

• Uphold professional standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Romanian."

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology is a plus.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• High emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.

• Reliable, high-speed, private, and secure internet connection.

• Minimum download speed of 20 Mbps (megabits per second).

• Minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps (megabits per second).

• Wired Internet connection with an Ethernet port (Wi-Fi is not permitted).

• At least Windows 10 operating system.

• Computers equipped with a dual-core, 2 GHz processor, such as an Intel Core i5 or better.

• Minimum of 8 GB RAM.

• A single device (computer or laptop) capable of running the necessary systems.
